Goodbye
to All That
Well
we’re packed, the itinerary is sorted and we’re ready for take-off. Christmas cards are written and all Christmas,
Wedding Anniversary and Birthday presents are distributed. We can leave the Christmas tree and
decorations gathering dust in the loft for another year and we’re ready for our
next adventure.
Thank
goodness we chose to fly on the 29th instead of the 30th as
I can imagine that there will be carnage at Heathrow on Wednesday when the UK
Border Force goes on strike – although to be honest even when working at peak
performance the UKBF gives the impression that it is working to rule!
The
holiday is starting on a low note because Lucy found out today that there is
duty to pay when taking ciggies into Sri Lanka and she’ll have to pay £33 duty for
each carton of fags that she imports. At this rate the holiday budget could be
blown on landing in Colombo.
To
all our blogmates – please come back regularly and don’t forget to sign up as a
follower and leave your comments – we really
look forward to hearing from you and hopefully we’ll exceed the 1,000 hits we
had last year.
One
more sleep to go ……………………….
Have a safe trip and be sure to update us all often... including photos please. I'm sure you're keen to test your new camera, aren't you Lucy.
